– Printing specifications for calendars: Desk calendars can be placed vertically or horizontally. The cost of desk calendar printing vertically will be less than that of horizontally. Therefore, you should consider to choose a reasonable option.

– Most desk calendars are printed on couche paper because this type of paper has a glossy surface that displays colors and images beautifully.
– Some customers prefer the surface of white uncoated paper, so they use offset paper; this type of paper tends to absorb ink, resulting in duller color images.
– For these two materials, we recommend choosing couche and offset paper with a weight of 250g/m2. This way, the calendar sheets will look better, sturdier, and thicker.
– Calendars intended for high-end customers should use art paper, which comes in various colors and textures.
– The calendar base usually uses couche paper to laminate cardboard; some customers who prefer a rustic style use brown kraft paper to laminate cardboard.
– In desk calendar production, printing and lamination techniques are extremely important, greatly affecting the durability of the calendar due to frequent use.
– The calendar sheet prints many images, so it must be printed in full 4 colors.
– The background coverage of the calendar sheet is understood as the coverage of ink on the paper background. If your calendar design has many colorful images occupying >50%, it means that the background ink coverage will be >50%, and you must choose “flat background printing” in the pricing section.
– The calendar base is usually printed in 1 background color, and that option is cost-effective; moreover, when used on the calendar base, only the base foot is visible, so it does not need to be complicated. However, there are still a few customers who print images on the base.
– The calendar sheet does not need lamination; only the calendar base requires matte lamination to bond with cardboard.
– On the calendar base, the printed surface contains the company’s information at the bottom of the calendar. To make it more luxurious, the calendar base is printed with a background and the information at the base is foil stamped.
“In the foil stamping/embossing section of the quotation, it is calculated by the area of the rectangle surrounding the part that needs to be foil stamped.”
– After finishing the calendar base, the desk calendar is then punched and the spiral is threaded through the calendar base and the calendar sheet.
